Important Precautions Before (and After) Using Cheat Codes in Pokemon Heart & Soul

Before Using Cheats

  • Back up your save (.sav file) first
  • Use correct cheat type (CodeBreaker/GameShark/etc.)
  • Don’t activate too many cheats at once
  • Test on a separate save or emulator state
  • Only use when needed, then disable

After Using Cheats

  • Turn off cheats after use
  • Save the game normally (in-game save)
  • Watch for glitches or bugs
  • Don’t save during glitches
  • Keep a simple cheat log for reference

Final Tip:

Cheat responsibly — too many or the wrong cheats can break your ROM hack.

Pokemon Heart & Soul Cheat Codes Latest Version v1.2.1

Note: The cheats listed below have all been tested and confirmed to work in version 1.2.1 of the game. Some cheats—especially the Rare Candy and Master Ball cheats—may not work if you are using an older version, so please update your game.

Please be aware that using cheats can cause unexpected bugs or errors. You are solely responsible for any issues that occur after using cheat codes. If you encounter bugs after using cheats, kindly do not report them, as the development team will not address issues caused by cheat usage.

Important Note for Poke Mart Item Cheats in v1.2.1

The following instructions apply to all item cheats that require you to purchase the cheated item from a Poke Mart. This includes Rare Candies, Master Balls, healing items, held items, evolution stones, and other item codes.

Once you have activated the item cheat:

  1. Go to any Poke Mart.
  2. Select Buy.
  3. Check the second item in the shop list.

In version 1.2.1, the item activated by the cheat will usually appear in the second shop position instead of replacing the first item, as it did in some previous versions.

Please keep the following points in mind:

  • The item name displayed in the Poke Mart list may not match the item activated by your cheat code. Check the item’s image and description before selecting it. See the image below, which shows the Rare Candy cheat as an example:
  • After selecting the item, press the A button and continue to the quantity selection screen. The correct item name should appear in the purchase message. For example, when using the Rare Candy cheat, the message will say: “Rare Candy? Certainly. How many would you like?”
  • If the name shown on the quantity selection screen matches the item you intended to activate, the cheat is working correctly. See the image below for reference.
  • Most cheated items other than the Rare Candy Box and Master Balls will still cost money. Use the Infinite Money method below first if you do not have enough money to purchase them.
  • After purchasing the required item, turn off the cheat to help prevent glitches or unwanted changes to Poke Mart items.

Unlimited Rare Candy Cheat

Cheat Code: 82026AF4 00E3

Cheat Type: CodeBreaker

Description:
This cheat code will give you the option to buy a Rare Candy Box, which grants you 999 Rare Candies each time you use it from your bag.

Steps to Get Unlimited Rare Candies:

First, enter and activate the cheat code in your emulator. Then go to any Poké Mart, select Buy, and check the second item in the shop list.

In version 1.2.1, the Rare Candy Box may appear in the second position instead of the first. The displayed item name may also be incorrect, so check the item’s image and description to confirm that it is the Rare Candy Box before purchasing it.

After buying it, open the Key Items section of your bag and use the Rare Candy Box by pressing the A button. Each use will give you 999 Rare Candies.

Important: You only need to purchase one Rare Candy Box. The box can be used repeatedly and gives you 999 Rare Candies each time. Buying multiple boxes is unnecessary and may take up extra space in your bag.

The Rare Candies will appear in the Healing Items section of your bag, where Potions and other healing items are stored.

Unlimited Master Ball

Cheat Code: 82026AF4 0001

Cheat Type: CodeBreaker

Description:
This cheat code will give you the option to buy unlimited Master Balls from Poke Marts at no cost. They’re completely free, and you can take up to 999 at once, which is more than enough.

Activate the cheat code, visit any Poké Mart, select Buy, and check the second item in the shop list. Select the item and confirm that “Master Ball” appears on the quantity selection screen. You can then obtain up to 999 Master Balls for free. Turn off the cheat after completing the purchase.

Infinite Money Trick

There isn’t a specific cheat code available for unlimited money, but there’s a simple trick you can use to get virtually infinite money with just a few easy steps:

Step 1: Use the Rare Candy cheat code — you’ll receive 999 Rare Candies each time you use the Rare Candy Box.
Step 2: Go to any Poké Mart and sell those 999 Rare Candies (the maximum at once). In return, you’ll receive a large amount of money.

Repeat the process until your money reaches the maximum amount. So technically, it’s unlimited money — you just need to put in a bit of effort, which is very easy.

Healing Items

Note: Activate the cheat code for the item you want, then go to any Poke Mart and select Buy. In version 1.2.1, the cheated item will usually appear in the second shop position instead of the first. The displayed name may be incorrect, so verify the item by checking its image and description before purchasing it.

Zero Damage Cheat

Code: 820015A8 0000

Cheat Type: CodeBreaker

Description: When this cheat is enabled, no Pokemon in battle will take any damage. This affects both your Pokemon and the opponent’s Pokemon.

Use with caution—this will make battles unplayable unless disabled at the right time.

Infinite EXP Points / One Hit KO

Code: 820015A8 03E7

Cheat Type: CodeBreaker

Description: This cheat gives your Pokemon unlimited EXP points, allowing them to level up rapidly. It also functions as a one-hit KO cheat under the right conditions.

Notes:

This is a strong alternative to Rare Candy cheats, as it levels up Pokemon continuously until the cheat is disabled.

If your Pokemon hits first, the opponent will faint immediately.

If the opponent hits first, your Pokemon will faint instead.

Pokemon Speed stats play a crucial role in this cheat.

Infinite Repel Cheat

The Infinite Repel is a useful alternative to a No Wild Encounters cheat. Once obtained, it can be turned on or off whenever you want to control wild Pokémon encounters.

Infinite Repel Code: 82026AF4 00E2

Cheat Type: Code Breaker

Steps to Get the Infinite Repel:

  1. Enter and activate the Infinite Repel cheat code in your emulator.
  2. Go to any Poké Mart and select Buy.
  3. Check the second item in the shop list.
  4. Select the item and proceed to the quantity selection screen to confirm that the correct item name is displayed.
  5. Purchase only one Infinite Repel.
  6. Turn off the cheat code after purchasing the item.
  7. Open your Bag and go to the Key Items section.
  8. Select the Infinite Repel and toggle it on or off whenever needed.

When the Infinite Repel is turned on, wild Pokemon encounters will be disabled. When it is turned off, wild encounters will return to normal.

Important: You only need to purchase one Infinite Repel because it is a reusable Key Item. Buying multiple copies is unnecessary and may take up additional space in your Bag.

The item name displayed in the Poke Mart list may not match the Infinite Repel at first. Check its image and description, then select it and proceed to the quantity selection screen. The correct item name should appear in the purchase message, confirming that the cheat is working.

See the image below for reference:

The correct Infinite Repel name on the quantity selection screen
Turning Infinite Repel on or off from the Key Items pocket

Infinite PP

The Infinite PP cheat prevents your Pokemon’s moves from running out of Power Points. Once activated, all of your Pokemon’s moves will have unlimited PP, allowing you to use them repeatedly during battles without needing PP-restoring items.

Cheat Code:
82001460 6363
82001462 6363

Cheat Type: Code Breaker

Steps to Activate the Infinite PP Cheat:

  1. Enter both cheat-code lines in your emulator.
  2. Set the cheat type to Code Breaker.
  3. Activate the cheat.
  4. Start or continue your game.

Once the cheat is active, all moves used by your Pokemon will have unlimited PP and will not run out during battles.

Important: Both code lines must be entered under the same Code Breaker cheat entry. If the cheat does not work, deactivate it and confirm that both lines were entered correctly. Save your game normally before restarting the emulator.

Shiny charm would be cool. 512 is decent though. I got totodile after <50 soft resets using save state on Delta with fast forward text and battles on 2x speed. Took <10 mins. Getting shiny zubat is a struggle now though.

There is workaround for the infinite money, at least.

You can use the infinite rare candy to get the Rare Candy Bag. Then redeem 999x Rare Candies, sell the candies in PokeMart.

      Repeat.

It’s a way to make money.
      After using 00E3 candy box.
If you call Candy 999, you can call the item side.
      Candy has been created 999.
Then, if you sell 999 candies to the store,
      $2397600 will be given.
If you repeat this work, your money will increase.

Also, is there a working money cheat yet or items cheat? Would like to obtain/buy tons of calcium and carbos.

    Great game so far.

Candy box items is great, use or once, then sale the candies to get money. Repeat until you have max cash

It’s a way to make money.
    After using 00E3 candy box.
If you call Candy 999, you can call the item side.
    Candy has been created 999.
Then, if you sell 999 candies to the store,
    $2397600 will be given.
If you repeat this work, your money will increase.

    Hello developers/admins

All of these cheats are all working and tested for the 1.1.5 version; I’m not sure about the older versions, but you can give them a try. I’ll try to find more cheat codes soon.

    PURCHASE EVERYTHING AT THE POKEMART
(I’m still looking for the max/infinite money cheat codes, but here’s an alternate method):

To get the most money, use this cheat code: 82026ACC 00E3 for the Rare Candy Box, which you can get for 0$ at PokeMart. Once you’ve bought that, go to Bag, then Key Items, and then use the rare candy box, which is infinite (you can use it as many times as you like), you will get x999 Rare Candy after each use, which you can then sell it until you get the maximum amount of money.

Buy All At PokeMart ( Currently not available on PC)

Debug menu doesn’t activate for the most recent updates. I had 1.1.4 and 1.1.5 and the feature didn’t work. I think it’s because people broke their games using it. Honestly I think it should be brought back and people should understand the risks with utilizing the menu.

press R when you aren’t moving when on bike to change gears. you will notice the bell rings when you change and it takes an extra step or 2 to get the speed rolling after changing hears. for the ice part since when you are on the ice you will slide hit the parts where the cracks are so you don’t slide to move pass the hole… i got it done in like the 1st try… come on you can do it

Change the move the any TM or HM will teach:
    8201D7CE 0xxx
Replace xxx with the hex code of the move you want
Example: id203 Rollout, hex code = CD
8201D7CE 00CD will teach Rollout instead of what the TM says
NOTE: Your pokemon must have 4 moves, otherwise it won’t learn the move you cheated

Use first part of master balls cheat code and not the last 4 digits then under the healing items and other areas add the 4 last digits from those and it makes the codes work at pokemart 1st item change. Also use mGBA latest stable version.

Aside from those two major thing I also just want to adjust my pokemon IV stats in PKhex/PKhax.

If PKhex/PKhax absolutely can’t function with this mod is there way to add the spawn any wild pokemon cheat to this rom hack?

Gave me a net ball the first three times on PizzaBoy. I had to play around with updating the text of the cheat entry to finally get it to work. Not a reliable solution.

You should keep the quality of life improvements from hg and ss like electrizier and other evo items and move sets being gen 4 with tms such as focus blast then the game wouldbeoerfect

Codes to change Pokemon encounter? I was doing a Nuzlocke challenge and could not catch Celebi because I already caught a Pokemon in Ilex Forest, and legendaries/static encounters do not count as separate unfortunately.

After you use a cheat and the Bad Egg appears in the PC, is there any way to remove it, or will it hatch?

    Reply
    • OMORII on April 8, 2026 2:34 am

Do NOT hatch it, just let the egg on the pc, so he don’t gonna do nothing. If you hatch, it gonna corrupt your save file

There is no cheatcodes to modify wild Pokemon / nature / moveset in this romhack.

The best you could do will be going back to v1.2.0 > create a save > go to website called PKMDS.app > upload your 1.2.0 savefile > edit your starter pokemon to be Sneasel.

IIRC you cant do the same with 1.2.1, the game will said your file been corrupted and will refuse to load your modified file.

Going back to 1.2.0 and using PKMDS.app to change my starter still corrupt my game file.

It would be nice to add the other choice items. It’s odd that we only get the choice band. It might be lack of knowledge of gen differences on my part, but still, I think it could be nice additions for a future update. Idk 🤷🏾‍♂️

I’m not sure if you guys are still active…. It seems pretty dead the last few months:(
If you guys ARE still active, I need to know what abilities are possible for my starter with random abilities on. Specifically I’m trying to get a Cyndaquil with drought. Is this possible or are legendary abilities different?? I’ve gotten pressure which is normally only for legendary pokemon, so I’m guessing I can but I’ve spent over 2 hours resetting and trying:/
OR if you guys could figure out a cheat to change abilities I would LOVE YOU for it! I’ll pay someone to figure that cheat out for me!
